LITTLE ROCK'S NEW MUNICIPAL BORDER WALL |
RAZOR WIRE WILL BE ADDED TO TOP OF WALL SOON |
In an effort to make Little Rock the safest city in Arkansas and in the United States, the city is using a little-known state grant program and additional funding from the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce to install a municipal border wall.
"The new wall will further protect the citizens north of I-630" said Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. at a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning.

LRPD Chief Keith Humphrey stated, "it just goes to show I am keeping my promise to make Little Rock the safest city in Arkansas and in the United States".
Humphrey told reporters that LRPD officers will be patrolling the new municipal border and verifying that individuals have a legitimate reason to cross the concrete gulch that divides the city racially and economically.
"If you don't live north of I-630 you have no business there...unless you have a pass", Humphrey stated.
Mayor Scott will be proposing an ordinance that will require all Little Rock residents to obtain a city identification card and will require passes for citizens south of I-630 to cross over.
