Little Rock Mayor announces a city wide curfew during solar eclipse

Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. has signed an executive order establishing a city wide curfew during the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 he announced during an appearance at an opening ceremony for a Dollar General store today.

Mayor Scott, who is also an associate pastor at Greater Second Baptist Church, referenced the Old Testament book of Isaiah, Chapter 13, Verses 9 to 10, saying, “See, the Day of the Lord is coming — a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger — to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it. The Stars of Heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising Sun will be darkened and the Moon will not give its light.”

Mayor Scott explained that the curfew was necessary to protect citizens from demons and flesh eating zombies that would be raised form the dead during the eclipse appearance of the Devil Comet.

Mayor Scott said that Little Rock Police will strictly enforce the curfew and shoot violators.
